The Jakarta’s Hotel Energy Efficiency Project is collaboration between The Alliance to Save Energy --organization that aims to promote energy efficiency worldwide to achieve a healthier economy, a cleaner environment and greater energy security-- with Pelangi Indonesia --a non-profit independent research institute based in Jakarta which focused on climate, energy, transportation and air quality.

The project was funded trough grants from USAEP, a regional program of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) that promoted sustainable economic growth and improved the quality of life for the people of Asia by working towards cleaner and healthier cities through providing grants, exchanges and technical assistance.
